Meeting point: Grindelwald Terminal

Mondays to Saturdays you meet your mountain guide at 07:10, Sundays at 08:20. From the meeting point in Grindelwald you take the Eiger Express to the Eiger Glacier and continue by train to the Jungfraujoch.

For this ski tour it is important that you have appropriate clothing and equipment. You can either bring your own equipment or rent one

Activity: Ski tour

Starting from the highest train station in Europe on the Jungfraujoch, you will head towards Konkordiaplatz. From there the ascent starts via the Grosser Aletschifirn at 3173 m.a.s.l. to the Lötschenlücke

After a breather, the descent begins over the Langgletscher glacier into the Lötschental valley. Here a glass of the famous Valais white wine awaits you in Blatten

Return: Interlaken

From the Lötschental, take the train through the Lötschberg tunnel via Spiez back to Interlaken

A summit climb costs a lot of energy. Take a small but fortifying snack with you for the break at the summit, which will give you new power for the rest of the tour. Every backpack on a ski tour in Switzerland should contain a fortifying Appenzeller Biberli or a Kägi Fret. A handful of nuts can also work wonders when energy needs increase.
